Submission

General Instructions

• All submitted papers must be original research work and should not have been published or be under consideration elsewhere. Review articles will not be considered.
• Scientific names (genus, species, and subspecies) and other appropriate technical terms should be presented in italics throughout the paper.
• For studies involving human participants or animals, ethical approval from a recognized ethics committee must be obtained. A copy of the ethical clearance certificate should be submitted along with the paper.
• Authors are required to submit the following documents separately:

• Title Page
• Abstract
• Extended Abstract
• Signed Author Declaration Form (PDF format)
• The extended abstract will be used solely for the review process.
• All accepted abstracts will be published electronically in the Proceedings of the 4^th International Research Conference on Siddha Medicine (IRCSM) – 2027.

 Formatting Requirements

• Paper Size: A4
• Margins: 2.54 cm (1 inch) on all sides
• Line Spacing: 1.5
• Font: Times New Roman / Bamini
• Font Size: 12 pt

Title Page

• The title should be concise, informative, and free from abbreviations.
• Capital letters should be used only for the first word of the title and for proper nouns.
• The title should accurately reflect the scope of the study and should not generalize the findings.
• Title format: Font size 14 pt, Bold, Centre aligned.
• The names (with initials) and affiliations of all authors, together with the complete institutional address and email address of the corresponding author, should appear immediately below the title. The name of the presenting author should be underlined.
• Author details should be presented in Font size 12 pt and Centre aligned.
• You should rename your paper as “CorrespondingAuthorFullname_Tittle” and can submit in PDF or Word (.docx) versions.

Abstract

The abstract should be 250–300 words in length and structured under the following subheadings:

• Background
• Aim
• Methods
• Results
• Conclusion

Keywords

• Provide three to five keywords below the abstract.
• Keywords should reflect the principal areas of the study.
• Keywords should be arranged in alphabetical order and separated by semicolon.

Extended Abstract Guidelines

The extended abstract should not exceed 1,500 words and should be organized under the following headings:

Introduction (Maximum 350 words)

The Introduction should present the nature of the problem addressed by the study and place the work within the broader context of the field. Relevant background information necessary for understanding the study should be provided and appropriately referenced.

 Materials and Methods (Maximum 350 words)

This section should include:

• Experimental materials
• Sampling procedures
• Experimental design
• Experimental methods
• Number of replicates
• Statistical analyses employed

Standard protocols should be cited and need not be described in detail.

 Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Limitations and Recommendations (Maximum 800 words)

• Present the findings concisely and clearly.
• Provide a critical interpretation of the results.
• Discuss findings in relation to previously published work where appropriate.
• Avoid unnecessary repetition of results or information already presented in the Introduction.
• Conclusions, limitations and recommendations may be included where relevant.

Tables and Figures

• Use the minimum number of tables and figures necessary to effectively present the findings.
• Tables should be placed at the appropriate locations within the text and prepared using the MS Word Table format.
• Do not use tabs or graphic software to create tables.
• Figures should be positioned within the text and be of high quality.
• Figures should include appropriate measures of variability such as Standard Deviation (SD) or Standard Error (SE), where applicable.

References

• A maximum of five (5) key references may be included.
• References must be prepared according to the Harvard Referencing Style.

You should rename your paper as “CorrespondingAuthorFullname_ExtendedAbstract_Named”,  “CorrespondingAuthorFullname_ExtendedAbstract_Unnamed”  for each upload in the Google form.
