The Department of Moolathathuvam is dedicated to the study and dissemination of the fundamental principles and philosophical foundations of Siddha Medicine. It actively promotes research and scholarly activities to enhance knowledge and understanding within the discipline.Through its academic activities, the Department strives to foster excellence in education, research, and professional development.
About The Department
Moolathaththuvam focuses on the philosophical and theoretical foundations of Siddha Medicine. Under the revised BSMS curriculum introduced in 2024, it is taught through three pre-clinical subjects: Siddha Maruththuva Moolathathuvam, Siddha Udalthathuvam, and Siddha Maruththuva Varalarum Uyarthamizhum. These subjects provide students with a strong foundation in Siddha philosophy, human constitution, and the heritage of the Siddha tradition.
