Medical Camp Report – 2026 at Kilinochi
The Department of Noi Naadal Chikitchai, Faculty of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna, in collaboration with Rotract club , successfully organized a free medical camp on 16th of October 2026, from 9.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. The programme was held at the Kilinochi Barathy Puram. The medical camp was conducted with the active participation of Three Lecturers from the Department of Noi Naadal Chikitchai. They were supported by 36 final-year BSMS students, two Department Demonstrators, Medical Officers, a Works Aide, and other staff members of the Siddha Teaching Hospital, Kilinochi. Medicines were supplied by the Siddha Teaching Hospital, Kilinochi, and healthcare products provided by the Himalaya Company were also distributed during the camp.
The members of the Rotract club extended their valuable support for the successful conduct of the programme. Nearly 85 patients benefited from this public medical camp. The patients presented with various health conditions, including bilateral knee pain, joint pain, sneezing, hair fall, skin rashes, itching, and diabetes. Appropriate medical advice and treatment were provided according to their health conditions.
