Medical Camp 2026 – Vavuniya

The Department of Noi Naadal Chikitchai, Faculty of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna, in  collaboration with the Siddha Teaching Hospital, Kaithady, successfully organized a free medical camp  on 17 June 2026, from 8.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. The programme was held at the Vavuniya  Thavasikulam Divisional Secretariat Office. 

The medical camp was conducted with the active participation of two Senior Lecturers from the  Department of Noi Naadal Chikitchai. They were supported by 28 fourth -year BSMS students, a  Temporary Assistant Lecturer, Department Demonstrators, Medical Officers, a Works Aide, and other  staff members of the Siddha Teaching Hospital, Kaithady. 

Medicines were supplied by the Siddha Teaching Hospital, Kaithady, and healthcare products  provided by the Himalaya Company were also distributed during the camp. 

The members of the Selva Sannithi Temple Trust extended their valuable support for the successful  conduct of the programme. 

Nearly 121 patients benefited from this public medical camp. The patients presented with various  health conditions, including bilateral knee pain, joint pain, sneezing, hair fall, skin rashes, itching, and  diabetes. Appropriate medical advice and treatment were provided according to their health  conditions.
