Initial Management of Poisoning Emergencies
The Department of Nanjiyal & Paramparai Maruthuvam, Faculty of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna, will organize the 3rd Knowledge Enhancement Session for the 3rd BSMS students (Academic Year 2023/2024) on 25th September 2026 (Friday) from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. at Thirumoolar Hall, Faculty of Siddha Medicine.
The session, titled “Initial Management of Poisoning Emergencies” will be conducted by Dr. (Mrs.) T. S. Navaratnarajah, Senior Lecturer Gr. I, Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna.
This programme has been organized with the objective of enhancing students’ academic knowledge and practical understanding of the initial management of poisoning emergencies, including the recognition of poisoning cases, immediate assessment, first-aid measures, and appropriate initial management strategies. The session is intended to strengthen students’ preparedness for the effective management of poisoning cases in their future clinical practice.
