Discussion on Common MCQ Preparation

Report of Discussion on Developing Common MCQ Contents for Siddha discipline between the Faculty of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna (UoJ) and the Faculty of Siddha Medicine, Eastern University of Sri Lanka (EUSL)

A discussion meeting was held on 04 August 2026 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. to deliberate on the development of common Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) contents for the Siddha program.

The meeting primarily focused on identifying the common syllabus contents for Siddha that could be incorporated into a standardized MCQ question bank. The participants reviewed the existing curriculum, discussed the overlapping academic components, and explored the feasibility of harmonizing common subject areas Siddha.

The discussion emphasized the need to establish a comprehensive and standardized MCQ framework to ensure consistency in student assessment and to facilitate quality assurance in teaching and learning.

The meeting was attended by Clinical Department Lecturers from the Faculty of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna (UoJ) and the Faculty of Siddha Medicine, Eastern University of Sri Lanka (EUSL). The participants actively shared their views and recommendations on the common curriculum contents and assessment methods.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to continue collaborative discussions and to prepare a draft of the common MCQ syllabus contents for further review and approval.
