Awareness Programme at J/Muththukumaraswamy Maha Vidyalayam, Kaithady
An awareness programme was successfully conducted at Muththukumaraswamy Maha Vidyalayam, Kaithady, on 27 July 2026 at 11.30 a.m. The programme was organised by the Department of Kuzhanthai and Mahalir Maruthuvam, Faculty of Siddha Medicine, University
of Jaffna.
Participants:-
- Head, Academic staffs, and group of Final BSMS students
- J/Muththukumaraswamy Maha Vidyalayam Grade 10, Grade 11, and G.C.E.
- Advanced Level female students and teachers
Events:-
The programme was conducted for Grade 10, Grade 11, and G.C.E. Advanced Level female students with the aim of improving their awareness of important adolescent and women’s health issues. A large number of students actively participated in the session and showed great interest throughout the programme.
The presentations included informative discussions on topics related to adolescent health,personal hygiene, menstrual health, nutrition, Gender based violence and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Students were encouraged to ask questions and actively
engage in the discussion.
The programme was well received by both the students and the school staff. It provided valuable knowledge and helped create awareness about maintaining good health and adopting healthy practices during adolescence.
