About The Research Project
The Samooganala Maruthuvam Program is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in community health, disease prevention, and health promotion based on Siddha principles and modern public health concepts. The program emphasizes aarokiyam (healthy living), environmental health, water sanitation, nutrition, yoga, meditation, and preventive healthcare to enhance the well-being of individuals and communities.
Students gain hands-on experience through clerkships, field visits, health education activities, and community-based training in areas such as maternal and child health, immunization, disease control programs, and public health services. The program prepares future Siddha medical professionals to address community health challenges and promote healthier lifestyles through evidence-based and holistic healthcare approaches.
