About The Program
This course provides knowledge on the identification, pharmacological properties, and Siddha principles of medicinal herbs. Students are trained in the collection, cultivation, preservation, and sustainable utilization of medicinal plants.
Practical training includes plant identification, herbarium preparation, nursery management, and medicinal plant conservation. Field visits, including visits to government herbal gardens and participation in herbal garden activities, help students develop skills for the effective utilization and conservation of medicinal plant resources.
