The International Women’s Day Celebration 2026 was organized by the Department of Kuzhanthai & Mahalir Maruthuvam together with the Final BSMS students of the Faculty of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna. The event was held on 8th March 2026 at 8.30 a.m. at the Siddha Pharmacy, Siddha Teaching Hospital, Kaithady. The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Mrs.

Sivagowri Rajashanthan, and Director of the Centre for Gender Equity and Equality, University of Jaffna. The Special Guests for the event were Dr. B. Prabaharan, Medical Officer Incharge,Siddha Teaching Hospital,Kaithady, Dr. Ganesh Sritharan, Siddha Medical officer.
