Unit of Siddha Medicine participated in Ayurveda Expo 2018 (Mega Exhibition) at BMICH
Ayurveda Expo 2018, the three-day Mega exhibition (International Indigenous Healthcare Exhibition & Symposium) was held on 13th, 14th and 15th July 2018 at the BMICH under the patronage of Minister of Health Rajitha Senarathne, Industries Minister Daya Gamage and Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen, organised for the seventh time by the National Chamber of Commerce in association with the Ministry of Health and Indigenous Medicine and other Government institutions.
Five Proposed Departments {“Department of Moolathathuvam”, “Department of Gunapadam”, “Department of Noinadal Chikitsai”, “Department Kuzhanthai and Mahalirmaruthuvam” and Department of Virana Chikitsai”} of the Unit of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna were participated and exhibited their products, banners, leaflets, etc. in this Mega Exhibition.

ICESM 2018
The Unit of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna, Northern Provincial Department of Indigenous medicine and Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, New Delhi were collaboratively organized that the 1st International Conference & Exhibition on Siddha Medicine (ICESM 2018) was held from 23rd to 27th February 2018, in Unit of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna with the theme of ‘ Healthy Soul & Body through Nature ’.
The Exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. G. Kunaseelan/ Northern Province Minister of Health on 23rd February 2108. The pre-conference workshop was commenced on that day. Resource persons were coming from India and Malaysia for this event.
Several guests and people including the Mr.K.Sarveswaran/ Minister of Education, NP; Prof. R. Vigneswaran/ Vice-Chancellor, University of Jaffna; Mr.S.Thiruvaharan/Secretary, Ministry of Health, NP; Dr. G. Senthilvel/ Co-ordinator, Ministry of Ayush, India; Members of Siddha Medicine Board of Management; Researchers from different fields in India and Malaysia; Siddha Medical Officers and Traditional Physicians were participated in this event.
