University of Jaffna will entertain applications to reach us on or before 27.10.2023 from qualified Sri Lankan Nationals for the under mentioned Temporary posts.
Note: Candidates who are waiting for the internship after the completion of the final BSMS examinations may also apply for the post of Temporary Demonstrator.
In addition to the above salary, the allowances approved by University Grants Commission applicable to the posts will also be paid.

Submission of Applications will not be entertained in person. Please note that payments cannot be made via online for this purpose and eligible candidates will receive the interview letter only via email.
Those who wish to apply for more than one post should submit separate application for each.
Applicants from the University System/Government Departments/Corporations and Statutory Board should channel their applications through the Head of respective Institutions. Illegible, incomplete and late applications received by post after deadline even though the applicant has submitted online application will be rejected without intimation. Siddha Newsletter Volume 6 Issue I was released by Dr.(Mrs).V.Sathiyaseelan at the Staff Meeting on 28.04.2023 at the Unit of Siddha medicine.
Second BSMS STUDENTS visited to Kunchukulam forest on 17th of December 2022 for identifying medicinal plants under the supervision of lectures, Medical officers, traditional doctors and Demonstrators. Around 200 medicinal, rare, redlisted and endermic plants were identified in this visit.
Identification of rare plants
Second BSMS Students visited to Kaithady Kallakam on 2nd of December 2022 for identifying medicinal plants under the supervision of lectures and Demonstrators. Around 140 medicinal plants were identified including rare, redlisted and endermic plants.
Second BSMS STUDENTS visited to kalavodai amman temple Navali on 2nd November 2022 for identifying medicinal plants under the supervision of lectures and Demonstrators. Around 150 medicinal, rare, redlisted and endermic plants were identified in this visit.
The following meets are planned to be held for the year 2022.
3rd BSMS students visited Drug manufacturing Unit at Achuhuveli on 17th & 18th October 2022. There they were demonstrated about how to operate the machineries , how to store raw materials, purification standardization and packing. On this visit our students gained skills about large scale of Siddha drug preparation.
The inauguration ceremony of the Orientation Program for the Academic year 2020/2021 was held on 9th May 2022 at 9. am at the Library Auditorium of the University of Jaffna.
