  • Siddhar Day 2018

    The Siddhar Day 2018 was celebrated at Agastiyar Mallai, Muthur, Trincomalee on 26th December 2018  by the Siddha Medical Student Association (SMSA).

    Academic staff, Academic supporting staff, 4th & final BSMS Students, SMSA Action committee members and the village people were participated on this occasion.

  • Oli vizha 2018

    Oli Vizha 2018 (Christmas Celebration) which was organized by the Siddha Medical Students Association held on 30th November 2018 at Auditorium of Unit of Siddha Medicine. The following competitions were arranged between the BSMS students,

    1. Christmas tree making
    2. Karol songs

     

  • Siddha Medicos Week 2018

    Siddha Medicos Week 2018 which was organized by Siddha Medical Students’ Association held from 26.10.2018 to 02.11.2018 at the Main ground, University of Jaffna. The following games and activities were done in this Siddha Medicos Week,

    1. carrom game
    2. chess game
    3. Football game
    4. Traditional games
    5. Blood donation by BSMS students
    6. Siramadanam and
    7. Medical camp

     

  • Saraswathi Pooja – Vijayadashami Festival 2018

    The Vijayadashami Festival was successfully celebrated by the Siddha Medical Student Association for the Academic year 2016/2017 at Auditorium, Unit of Siddha Medicine on 19th October 2018.

     

  • Institutional Review – Site visit to Unit of Siddha Medicine was successfully completed

    Institutional Review of UoJ – site visit to Unit of Siddha Medicine was held on 10th October 2018 from 3.00 pm t0 6.00 pm. The following Institutional reviewers were attended to the unit,
    • Prof.Vajira Bulugahapitiya (Univ. of Ruhuna)
    • Prof.Parakrama Karunarathne (Univ. of Peradeniya)
    • Prof. Wipula Yapa (Univ. of Colombo)
    • Prof.A.Pathmeswaran (Univ. of Kelaniya) &
    • Prof.Oksana Matweeva (International Quality Assurance Agency, Russia)

    The following activities were done on that day,

  • Farewell Party for Retired Technical Officer -2018

    Fare well party for the Mr. S. Jeyakumar/ Technical officer was held on 20th September 2018 at Auditorium, Unit of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna.

    He was joined as a Technical officer on August 1986 and retired from his services as Technical officer (Staff Grade) on 1st April 2018.

    All Academic staff, Academic supporting staff and Trainees were participated in this Function and appreciated his 32 years services in Unit of Siddha Medicine.

  • Celebration of 4th International Day of Yoga 2018

    4th International Day of Yoga – 2018

    The Unit of Siddha Medicine was celebrated the 4th International Day of Yoga collaborate with Astanga Yoga Mandir, Cultural Centre, Indian High Commission, Colombo on 10th May 2018 from 8.30am to 4.30pm at the Unit of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna. The five Chairpersons (Senior Lecturers) & five Co-Chair persons (Medical officers, NP) were conducted the five sessions on this day after the inaugural ceremony.

     

    The Sessions are followed,

    Session I- Yoga demonstration for special needs Children and other people.

    Session II- Yoga demonstration for Diabetic Mellitus.

    Location :- Thirumoolar Arangam

     

    Session III- Yoga demonstration for school children-Boys.
