Institutional Review of UoJ – site visit to Unit of Siddha Medicine was held on 10th October 2018 from 3.00 pm t0 6.00 pm. The following Institutional reviewers were attended to the unit,- Prof.Vajira Bulugahapitiya (Univ. of Ruhuna)

Unit of Siddha Medicine obtained the 1st place for Best Stall in the ICEIMEP-2018
Unit of Siddha Medicine participated and obtained the 1st place for Best Stall in the First International Conference and Exhibition in Indigenous Medicine, Eastern Province (ICEIMEP-2018) organized by Provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine, Eastern Province with the collaboration of Unit of Siddha Medicine, Faculty of Applied Science, Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.
Five Proposed Departments {“Department of Moolathathuvam”, “Department of Gunapadam”, “Department of Noinadal Chikitsai”, “Department Kuzhanthai and Mahalirmaruthuvam” and Department of Virana Chikitsai”} of the Unit of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna were joined and exhibited their products, drugs, models, banners, leaflets, etc. in this ICEIMEP-2018.

Farewell Party for Retired Technical Officer -2018
Fare well party for the Mr. S. Jeyakumar/ Technical officer was held on 20th September 2018 at Auditorium, Unit of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna.
He was joined as a Technical officer on August 1986 and retired from his services as Technical officer (Staff Grade) on 1st April 2018.
All Academic staff, Academic supporting staff and Trainees were participated in this Function and appreciated his 32 years services in Unit of Siddha Medicine.

Programme Review for Unit of Siddha Medicine will be scheduled on March 2019. Therefore, the activities related to the PR are ongoing. The academic staff were appointed as the chairperson and members of the 8 committees (8 criteria) for this purpose.
