  • ICD-11 Traditional Medicine Chapter Module 2 Capacity Building Training Programme

    The ICD-11 Traditional Medicine Chapter Module 2 Capacity Building Training Programme for the Faculty of Siddha Medicine, which was organized by the IR Unit in collaboration with NITM, Department of Ayurveda, was held on 19th February 2025 at the Library Auditorium, University of Jaffna, from 8.30 am to 12.00 noon.

    Heads and Senior Lecturers (12) of each department of the Faculty of Siddha Medicine, the Commissioner General of Ayurveda, the Secretary of International Relations, the Supervisory Medical Officer, the Development Medical Officer in charge of the Statistics Division, and the Development Officer participated in this training programme.

    First, the welcome address and opening remarks were delivered by Dr. (Ms.) T. Thayalini, Acting Dean, Faculty of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna, and Dr.M.D.J. Abeygunawardana, Commissioner General of Ayurveda, respectively. Continuously, Commissioner General of Ayurveda and Dr. M.S. Sajeewane Perera, Secretary, IR Unit, shared their knowledge about the introductions, the development process of ICD-11 TM2, and the implementation plan of ICD-11 TM2. After that, acknowledgment was delivered by Dr. (Ms.) Vinotha Sanmugarajah, Coordinator of the ICD training programme, and Dr. A. Manoraj, Head of Quality Assurance, Research, and Development, BMARI. Finally, the resource persons discussed with the final BSMS students (60), and the ICD-11 TM module 2 was introduced to them.
